The Yetis make a growling noise when the sit command is used. You are right in that they don't actually sit. If one spends any time in Kamaden, the sound will be heard over and over. Very annoying and for those who enjoy the in-town music......THEY CAN'T!

You know what's annoying? Tonics that make noise, period. Minis got their sounds removed from towns for good reason.
You don't go making a grief mechanic and then hope people don't abuse it.

ETA: The reason this is disruptive is because when they /sit, and sometimes they do it in groups, the sounds (in this case from the Yeti Tonic) fills the district and annoys other players. The offenders keep doing it despite other players' complaints. Then people complain to us about this disruptive behavior, and we need to take action to keep the peace.

Hi Regina, you know I respect you and all, but this is old news. There was a big topic in Riverside about the Yeti problem, it stayed there for weeks. We never got a reaction from Anet.
But ok, payback time.
All joking aside, submitting tickets may make a world of difference.

It is always nice to see Gaile chat but it still amazes me that 4 years later people still can't get along. I can only imagine what community horrors awaits us in GW2. The again maybe it shouldn't be amazed whatsoever. Sad really.

I really dont mean any offense but her grammar and sentence structure is brutal. She must be an educated person but some of those phrases just ..wow. Ex: "problem solve a situation?"
"it seems a little un-nice?'
If im wrong holy lord im sorry and i will most likely go live in a hole. But this sounds like a young person trying to sound like gaile. Ive read all the chat logs posted of gailes comments and shes always very articulate and well spoken. anyways just thought it didnt seem all together authentic.
Cronk
PS i saw the different colored text but all the text looks a bit off to me.

You complain about a few missing dashes when you don't seem to have any clue where the apostrophe key is on your keyboard? "all together"? Surely you meant "altogether"...seriously, don't bash on someone else's grammar or punctuation if yours is much worse.
"problem-solve a situation" without the dash isn't really a hard thing to understand. The un-nice thing I'm sure was posted in jest.

Heh, those had to be the most forceful words I've ever seen out of Gaile. It seems that not being the head PR person loosens your tongue a bit.

Reminds me of Halloween when the auto tonics wouldn't stop humping the Mad King, SSDD.

Funny little detail: at some point, the yeti-sound-spammer dropped out of Yeti form, and could be seen rapidly sitting/standing for a few minutes after that, which was pointed out to Gaile while she was there.
Botting just to annoy people, real classy.

I must agree with this. How can you be banned or even reported for doing something that was implemented in the game? Granted it is annoying, but ANET put it there, and it will get abused. Since the tonics dont work outside of town, other than the elf and candycorn, where else are they going to make the noise? Some people think its funny and like it, most find it a total annoyance. But report them for it? Whatever. Gaile had no right to tell people what to do with thier tonics since ANET created them. But maybe now she will go back to the Devs and have those annoying sounds removed from them. But if they do this, then they should also remove the sounds from fireworks, ghosts in a box, snowmen summoners, and anything else in the game that makes noise as well and that i have seen people complain about. Either this or put in a sound option to remove sounds such as these so people can listen to the lovely music the game has to offer, or so it would seem. However, imo, cities are always full of noise in real life, so just either deal with it or there is a mute button, or go to another dist of the town.
But the fact that Gaile took time out of her day to deal with any issue in the game is very cool. Just like the day she explained in town about the XTH fiasco for the 2nd month in a row. Its more than i have seen or heard done from Regina.

Ahh, I love this.
Group A: Do (insert something annoying here) for shits and giggles
Group B: Start complaining
Group A: Continue doing ((insert something annoying here) even more because they know it pisses group B off.
Anyways, just remove the tonic sounds. They're clearly doing more harm than good.

A simple fix would be to give Event NPC's the invisible aura. Like the Frog in Shing Jea had. Nobody could walk on him, as some sort of invisible wall was blocking them.
Don't some other npcs like collectors have it, too?
